Nice modeling, but the thing that really stands out for me are the plants. How did you do these, can you link perhaps a tutorial?

I can't wait to see what it looks like textured. That's amazing. Wow. So is mental ray inside of 3dsmax or do you have to buy it like V ray? My sponsor got me the 3dsmax 10 creative suite through my school but I don't know how to use it yet. She said I could learn with the outdated one first and if I liked it, I could move up to a current year. She got it for 99 dollars! School discounts are great. :)
